It's been a period of time since my last entry due to my laziness.

Blogging has a close relationship with one's mood. There might be lots of things to write about but once the mood is not right, you juz can't settle down and blog it out. In fact, neither am I in any mood to blog today but judging from the days that this is not being activated, I seriously think I should wake my blog up again.

Neeway, vv is coming over tomorrow but we are leaving for Malaysia at night to find her beloved husband.. Ha.. So excited about the trip. But since it's not a very nice, good and sweet month to travel, I seriously and sincerely pray that it will be a smooth trip. I'm not being paranoid about the Hungry Ghost Festival, but when you start inhaling smell of burning incenses anywhere you go and walking along the streets with sights of people kneeling down and lighting joss sticks, there seems to be a chill running down my spine and the feeling is inexplicable. Furthermore, lodao juz told me that there's a bus which met an accident when travelling to Malaysia yesterday. 20 died and 9 injured. Gosh! It's freaking me out somehow..

By the way, I realised that the budget hotel in Singapore is not really budget though and I'm wondering why most of the budget hotels are fully occupied when I don't see much tourists around. Ha... It's quite amusing to find out this fact when I'm trying to book the hotel room for the couple. Eventually, I have arranged a 'budget hotel' which is situated in Bencoolen for them and guess what, it's Hotel81, ha... that's the only convenient, available budget hotel I can find... Reading from the reviews, I think it should not be a bad one bah... Ha..

Oh ya.. finally I've got myself a pair of converse shoes yesterday in Queens..erm..(way or town). Like it alot but I'm more interested in the other pair which do not have and will not have my size coz it's not coming out anymore... Sobx... Mummy promised me that she will find it and send it to me when she is going HK one day... Ha... Hopefully that day will come soon, best if she's going before I'm leaving sg.. LOL...

Heard from Shu yun the other day that SIM is rejecting people this year due to large number of people registering for the course there. Talking about this topic, I am filled with dissatisfaction. It was mentioned before that there will be sufficient Uni for Singaporeans but I doubt it's really the case. Singaporeans were encouraged to pursue a degree but how can we pursue one when there's no place for us. Most of the people who were rejected did not do well in their exams but that doesn't mean failing the exams. Despite passing all the subjects, they were eventually forced to accept the fate of rejection. Furthermore, foreigners seems to get a place in U easier than the people of the nation. Thinking back to the pledge we recite every morning for the past 20 years, it is rather obvious that the action contradicts to the words. The government wants to earn more revenue by accepting more foreigners but on the other hand, some Singaporeans ended up contributing to the economy of the other countries; hoping for a better future by studying overseas while some of them were left with not much options. This is bad..seriously bad! In the past, one could get into SIM easily. Even if you've failed your 'A's, you can still hold a place in SIM but what's wrong now. People being rejected?!?!?! If there's insufficient place in Uni, how can one explains the closure of University of New South Wales when it was reported that the closure was due to low student enrolment, causing the school to run into financial problems. It's ridiculous! Arrr...
