easter break is over!
seriously, i did not make good use of this holiday... though i've been travelling to different places but i've not revise for my examinations. GoSh!!!
BELFASTwhen studying social studies, northern ireland and sri lanka are the 2 places which i wanted to go... but after travelling to belfast (capital of northern ireland), i guess i would give up the idea of travelling to sri lanka to avoid disappointment... ha... belfast is not somewhere really exciting... to someone not knowing abt the conflict between the protestant and catholic, prince william of orange etc... you would realise yourself traveling to a country with loads of war-related stuff... lol... and you will be so bored abt it... nevertheless, there might be another thing which will makes you feel knowlegable after the trip as you get to know that titantic is actually built in belfast... haha... and that's the end of story... it's a very small place and thankfully i'm there for only 2 days... not many things to shop, the shops available were quite similar to norwich, so not at all fascinated abt it... thus, i would not suggest anyone to go belfast unless they got extra cash... keke...
BARCELONAbarcelona is in spain... it's not the capital but heard from others that it's much better in comparison to madrid... though i've not been to madrid, but i can definitely assure you that barcelona is a great and heavenly place to travel... it's awesome!!!!!
it is easy accessible and there's many places and tourist attractions to visit... you can visit all the places by yourself without any difficulties... do some reseach, get a map and you'll be alright... the transportation system is rather satisfying... the metro is million times better than the metro in paris and the tube in london... it's at least clean and comfortable to be in... lol... barcelona is quite compact so money can be saved by walking and not taking any transport...the tourist attractions are all amazing... nice nice nice!!! will post the pics taken when i'm done with my exams =)
anyway, i've spent 3 full days over there... and it's not enuff! though it's not any big city, there's too many places to cover and 3 days are not sufficient to go to every places as listed as 'top 10 muz visit' in the bk introducing barcelona... it's quite difficult to communicate to the locals if you do not speak any spanish, that's why i spent most of my conversation using body lanuguage... lol... some locals are very friendly but there's locals who do not like people who speak english... erm... maybe you can try talking to them in chinese before using english... haha...
btw, it's good to bring more cash over coz prices are steep... bought 5 pcs of chocolates for ard 6 euros... small pcs loh!!!! but they all look very nice so it's very hard to avoid the temptation of buying it... haha... one of the die die muz go place in barcelona is the market in la rambla... oh my goodness, it's heaven!!! had went there 3 times coz i simply love the market... you'll be amazed too if you're there.... had went to sagrada familia, the famous unfinished church... the first reaction when seeing the church was to exclaim... very impressive! i've went to the top of the church and it's scary... haha... my legs were weak all of a sudden and walking down by stairs were torturing... coz my body is tembling in fear... (you can choose to go down by lift, but i was trying to make my 2euros worth it... lol...) nevertheless, it was a great experience...
furthermore, spanish food is awesome too! i love paella!!!! =) paella is like some seafood rice but it's really really delicious... and it muz be accompanied with sangria (it's a wine punch with fruits and is served in big jug)... very very niceeee... other spanish food includes tapas which is the appetizers and if i'm not wrong, there are 15 different types of tapas to choose from... and there are many other breads, pastries, cakes which are all mouthwatering...
overall, barcelona is one of the muz go destination in life! =D
anyway... resumed lessons today... no more holidays but getting closer and closer to exams...left 24 days to my first paper.... panic panic panic... have not get really started with revision... i should stop procrastinating and do some serious work le...
guess will not be able to blog until exams are over... and once exams are over, you will get to see me real soon............ haha....
